New format: experimenting with focusing Large Group Critique nights on a theme (like Portraits, Monochrome, etc).

Session theme: Camera Phone Photography (I dare you!)

Special guest: Robert Kato, one of the leading camera phone artists, speakers, and teachers

How to bring your Camera Phone images on Wednesday? As usual, bring either a digital file or a print, the original must be taken from a Camera Phone though. If you have a great image stuck in your phone and you don't know how to get it out, just send it to me by email from your phone Edited images are welcome, either through a phone app or post processed with your usual tools

What we will learn? What is the current state of the Art of Camera Phone Photography? What does it look like? Can we call it Photography? Does it even matter?

By the way, who is Robert Kato? Brief bio: formally trained at Art Center College of Design, images acquired by Santa Barbara Museum of Art, represented by Modernbook Gallery SF, first award 2011 Juried Exhibition at Carmel Center for Photographic Art, Finalist ASMP The Pints & Pixels Competition (iPhone), Pixels at an Exhibition Group Show Giorgi Gallery, The Art of the iPhone.
