Mirror Image, by PACC member Marcia Lepler, has been selected for inclusion in the Water ~ Sky Exhibition at the Praxis Gallery and Photo Arts Center in Minneapolis.
For this exhibition, Praxis solicited photographic artwork that explores the ideas of water and sky in their myriad forms – from ice to ether, oceans to puddles, starry nights to clouds reflected in glass. The exhibition was curated by the Praxis Directors and will be on the walls July 20 through August 17. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, July 20, 6 to 8 PM. The exhibition images are not online yet.
About her fascinating image, Marcia says: The title of my photograph is Mirror Image. I took it while on a vacation three weeks ago in Idaho with my husband and 11 year old granddaughter. One night, we took a sunset cruise on the lake nearby. The water was calm and silky smooth in the early evening light, resulting in reflections of the sky and clouds. I hung over the railing and took a photo of the boat's wake from above. Amazingly, everything lined up.

Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center is a community-based arts organization that aims to support the development of emerging photographic artists and is the only non-profit dedicated photographic arts center in Minnesota.
