Fire Truck on Main Street (Jackson, CA) and Table for Two, images by PACC member Wright Schickli, were selected for inclusion in the light exhibition of the A Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas.  Photographers were invited to submit work that reflected the theme “light” – sunny, cloudless, ablaze, lucent, aglow, beaming, shiny, luminous, brilliant, radiant, bright…  Laurie Klein, photographer, artist, and educator, was the juror.  The exhibition will run from July 5 through August 15; and the online reception will take place on July 27 at 3 pm CDT via pre-recorded video on YouTube.  The exhibition is already online at https://asmithgallery.com/exhibitions/light-5/.

Wright says:  I captured these photos late at night in Jackson during the recent PACC field trip to Gold Rush Country in Amador County.  Fire Truck on Main Streetis explained by its title.  Table for Twoshows a storefront within a stone’s throw of our hotel.  Both were captured wildly after dinnerwithour brave and adventurous group members at this very Inspiring Club event.  Laurie Klein, the juror, is known for her infrared images.  I wasin all seriousness, going to delete these two non-infrared photos from my submission.  I guess I need to take an infrared photo class!  I captured bothimages with my 21mm fast 1.4 lens. No AI.
