Frosted, an image by PACC member Sue Borg, was selected for inclusion in the In Honor of Trees Online Exhibition at the PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont. The objective of this exhibition was to honor trees in all their states: majestic specimens or struggling seedlings, in summer plumage or winter austerity, grown in nature or nurtured by man; to celebrate their contribution to the earth and their many benefits to humanity. Any capture method and all processes were welcome. The juror was Wendy Schneider, an American artist widely known for her ongoing series of hand-gilded photograph, States of Grace. Thirty-five images were selected for display in the Exhibition Gallery, and forty images were selected for inclusion in the Online Gallery on the PhotoPlace Gallery website. The exhibition will take place from September 6 through September 27.
Sue says: Frosted is an image I captured in January 2024 in Grand Tetons National Park while on a Women's Photography Retreat. I was entranced by the wintery scenes that I encountered in the park at that time. Having lived in California for more than 40 years I had forgotten the wonderland that is created with snowy weather.
