Makeup as a Social Mask, an image by Nadine Levin, was selected by the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, for inclusion in its Masks Exhibition. The exhibition explores the diverse and compelling concept of the masks we wear, both in a literal and figurative sense. Bootsy Holler, an L.A.-based photographer best known for her work as a portraitist, was the juror. The exhibition will be shown in SE Center’s virtual gallery and will run from October 1 through October 31. Images in the exhibition may be seen online now at https://www.sec4p.com/masks25-online-exhibition.
Nadine says: The image is titled Makeup as a Social Mask and is part of my Inconstant Harmony series (and yes, the makeup is purposely overdone and applied in a strange manner).
