Wright says:  Upstream is a photo I captured from my favorite “zen spot” that is adjacent to our cabin near South Lake Tahoe. It’s Glen Alpine Creek draining from the Desolation Wilderness area into Fallen Leaf Lake. I see different things every time I go there.

Allyson says, about The Fallen Branches:  Several years ago, I discovered Mallard Lake in Golden Gate Park. I go there often to walk, admire the colors in the Spring and Autumn, the reflections in the water, and to photograph. Often, there are branches floating in the water but these, seen after a storm, were different:  white, almost glowing against the foliage behind, and striking in their intricate conformation. These branches are long gone, and the magic of this lake is disappearing slowly as algae dims reflections, overgrown brush and bamboo block views, and mallards are only occasional visitors. I continue to return, though, always hoping for a rebirth of this serene and pretty spot.
