NYC4PA:
Table for Two is one of 50 images selected, as well as a Juror’s Selection, for NYC4PA’s Luminosity – The Impact of Light Exhibition. NYC4PA solicited images where the presence, absence, and/or the location of light made the difference: glare, flare, shadow, fill light, lampshades aglow from an inside bulb, night lights in a city and streaming rays of sunlight. The Juror was Crista Dix, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography. This online exhibition may be seen at https://www.nyc4pa.com/luminosity-1.
Wright says: Table for Two is a photograph I captured in Jackson while on a PACC field trip a while back (which was awesomely organized by Peche). I noticed this somewhat weird and luminescent scene on Main Street while walking back from dinner with some of our group and managed to capture the photo without getting run over while I was standing in the street.
The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) was founded in 2012 by Maddi Ring and Patricia Gilman with a mission to provide exhibition opportunities to fellow photographers worldwide. NYC4PA sponsors international open calls, juried by respected members of the photography community, where submitters compete for cash prizes and/or the opportunity to participate in New York gallery exhibitions. Their advice is simple: Get out there and shoot!
