Ten Trees, an image by Wright Schickli, was selected for inclusion in ART SQUARE GALLERY, NEW YORK’s open-theme Black and White Exhibition. ART SQUARE invited photographers to explore the power of monochrome across any subject or style, celebrating creative freedom through light, contrast, and form. Directors of ART SQUARE were jurors for the exposition. You can see the gallery for the exhibition, which runs from May 23 through July 25, here: https://www.artsquareny.com/gallery. Wright says: Ten Trees is a dark black and white infrared (850) photograph of a stand of about ten trees atop a hill in Foothills Park that I captured a few years back. I love how the infrared makes the trees look like clouds casting a weird shadow in the foreground.
