If you’ve always wanted to design and publish your own photo book but aren’t certain how to begin, this 2 hour special program led by Victoria Heilweil is for you.
This workshop will cover the layout and design of a book, including how to sequence and pace your images, title pages, typeface and fonts, and how to integrate text. Paper and cover choices (hard versus soft cover) will also be discussed.
For those who have never used an online service, or want a refresher, Victoria will demonstrate Mixam and Mixbook during the second half of the workshop.
For our newer members: Victoria has been one of our most popular judges for many years. A photographic artist and independent curator who was, until recently, an instructor in the Department of Photography at San Jose State, Victoria received her MFA in Photography from California College of the Arts.
