Nadine says: This image was taken in the older part of Panama City, Panama. While walking through the city the morning after a rain storm, I saw a group of young women practicing for a ballet recital on the cobblestones. It struck me that it was a difficult surface to perform ballet, and I assumed there were no other alternative locations for them. I decided to shoot them as they practiced, unaware I was photographing them, as reflections in a rain puddle. The result was an unexpected artifact that presented a dreamy feel and a halo above the head of one of the dancers.
The exhibition runs from July 15 through August 29. The gallery is currently open by appointment only. At this time, the July 15 reception is scheduled to be virtual.
