An Image by PACC member Wright Schickli has been selected for inclusion in the Viewpoint: Landscape and Architecture juried group photo show at the Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
This exhibition explores the process and diversity of observation, interpretation, and documentation of Landscape and Architectural photography. The juror was Todd Johnson, director of the Black Box Gallery. Twenty-four images, including Wright’s image, Dusk, were selected for exhibition in the gallery and in the One-Line Gallery Exhibition. An additional thirty images will be displayed in the On-Line Annex Exhibition.
Wright says: Dusk is a photo I captured with a Sony Cybershot near Sullivan's Cove, which is at the northernmost part of Santiago Island in the Northern Galápagos islands. The lave flow in the foreground joined smaller islands with Santiago in the 1890s after an eruption. The area is pristine and looks like an eruption had just happened and finally cooled; I had the feeling I was on a different planet, or on earth hundreds of millions of years ago.
The in-gallery exhibition takes place January 1 – 20. The online exhibition can be seen at: https://blackboxgallery.com/Viewpoint-Land and Arch 2022 Gallery Web/index.html.
