Exhibition by Christopher Stevens-Yu at the Wheelhouse

The Wheelhouse of Willow Glen will host a solo exhibition, MOOD & MOVEMENT, by PACC member Chris Stevens-Yu. The exhibition comprises 40 images in four themes (people, cityscapes, land, and sea) with a common thread of mood and movement.
The exhibition will run for about two months and opens with a reception on Saturday, March 12, from 5 to 8 pm.
Chris explains:
We experience life through a series of moods and movement. Photography has the magical ability to convey and create a mood and manipulate time through freezing or blurring movement. In my photography, I use elements of movement, perspective, light, and emotion to create a connection between the moment I witnessed and you the viewer.
From the time I compose an image to the moment you stand before my finalized image, I am working to shape the image into the essence of the scene as I witnessed it.
I invite you to look for mood and movement in my images of people, cityscapes, land, and sea. My hope is that you will be transported to the moments captured in my photographs and that you will take away a bit of the magic. Thank you for engaging with my work!
Ride the Line, at right, is one of the images in the show and was taken on a recent foggy morning as Chris took a walk on the Stanford campus.
