Two images by PACC member Jennifer Fraser were accepted for inclusion in the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery exhibition, Melting: Climate Crisis – Water is Life. A third image was selected by the Bay Area PUNCH Magazine as its PERFECT SHOT image for the June issue.
San Francisco Women Artists (SFWA), a historic nonprofit arts organization, believes that the creative and transformative power of artists inspires us, provides needed insight, and connects the human family. SFWA was founded as the “Sketch Club” in 1887 and began as an independent group of women artists who met to share and critique one another’s work.
The theme for the June exhibition is: Melting: Climate Crisis – Water is Life: More questions than answers, yet what could be more important today? How can our art make a difference? The juror was Dorka Keehn. Jennifer’s images are Harvesting Lilies on Lake Dal, Kashmir (shown here) and Intha Fishermen on Lake Inle, Myanmar. Harvesting Lilies was awarded third place in a PACC monthly competition in the Travel category; Intha Fishermen was awarded second place in a monthly competition in the Travel category.

Jennifer’s image, Martin’s Beach at minus tide, will be the PERFECT SHOT image in the June issue. PUNCH is available at some local bookstores, and PDF versions of the issues are available online.
