Brandon says of his image, Lattice:  I made this image about a month ago in my backyard.  The image resulted from a solution to a long-standing problem I have had with my ICM (intentional camera movement) photography.  The technique that I typically use often results in lopsided images, i.e., images with a lot of “subject” on one side of the frame and negative space on the other.  I take hundreds of shots in a session, and only a handful come out well balanced and usable—and that’s on a good day.  It finally dawned on me that I could take a lopsided image, copy it, flip the copy horizontally, and then blend the two images together in Photoshop.  The result of this process is a balanced and perfectly symmetrical image.  I then started riffing on the basic process, combining different photos, then creating mirror images and blending all the layers together to create increasingly complex patterns.  As with any ICM photography, you never know exactly what you’re going to get.  I love the thrill of getting an unexpected and exciting image at the end of the process.

Nadine says about her image, Insightful:  This image is fairly new.  It is an extension of the work I have been doing with ICM and multiple in-camera exposures.  The title comes from what I see as layers leading toward  insight into whatever the viewer wants insight into -- in their world.
