Images by PACC members Chris Stevens-Yu, Ken FowkesJudy Kramer, and Elaine Heron have been selected for inclusion in Pacific Art League’s Photography Group Show.  The juror was Andrew Wegst.  The exhibition will take place from March 3 through March 28.  The opening reception will take place on Friday, March 3, 5:30 to 8:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend, so go and support your friends, look at all the wonderful images!

Chris / At the Edge of the World:  I made this non-traditional self-portrait at the start of the Pandemic (3/24/20) at the Palo Alto Baylands to demonstrate how I was feeling at the time.  I used a 6-minute exposure so I had to stand still that entire time.  I made several attempts so there was a lot of standing still… which is more work than you would think.  Glad it finally paid off!

Ken / Sending Her Love:  This is from a series I had been working on for years without realizing it was a series.  The images are all of dried or fading flowers that evoked a story in my mind and inspired me to make a photograph.  It became a mindful series in the spring of 2021 when I took a Personal Projects workshop given by Victoria Heilweil.  Sending Her Love was added later, as I continued to play with the series in Mira Zaslove's (now Nadine Levin's)  Portfolio / Series Small Group.

Judy / Silver Lake:  I took it at Silver Lake in the Wasatch Mountains east of Salt Lake City.  I loved that the water was still and the clouds were so evocative.

Elaine / Focus:  It is a champion archer in near Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia.  His horse was going fast and he still managed to hit the targets.  The tracking capabilities of my Sony were very helpful in getting this shot.  I have some where I caught the arrow in flight, but I liked this one better.
