An image by PACC member Nadine Levin has been selected by the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins for inclusion in the Revisiting the Family Album: Stories That Bind Us exhibition. This online exhibition is about our families, whether chosen, by blood, or by proximity. These human stories, memories, and histories comprise the past, present, and future of lives lived and projections of what may be.
More than 2000 images were submitted for the exhibition, and about 100 were accepted. The juror was Aline Smithson, a Los Angeles-based visual artist, editor, and educator. In her comments, she said the following: I want to extend a huge thank you for allowing me into your lives, your families, your memories, and, most importantly, your photographs. While reviewing the work, I felt like I was invited into your family albums as you shared what it’s like to be a participant-observer, to be a child or a parent or person, and still be a photographer and share your personal histories with the world.
