inclusion in the Beyond the Lens Exhibition at the Decode Gallery in Tucson. Decode had a broad call for entry: photographic work in any niche – nature, portraits, documentary, still life – giving photographers the freedom to submit with no constraint, like the Open category in PACC competitions. Holly Hart, gallery director for Decode, was the juror. The exhibition will run from August 12 through September 2, and the opening reception will take place on Saturday, August 12, from 5 to 8 pm. The images in the exhibition can be viewed online at https://www.decodegallery.com/exhibitions/beyond-the-lens/.

And about Building Unknown: While photographing at Pier 90, a translucent, rectangular plane floating above the shadow of a small shack and ladder caught my attention. I looked unsuccessfully for the source of the image; and although I’ve returned often, this shadow image remains a mystery.
