PACC members Suszi Lurie McFadden and Brandon Stauffer invite you to experience their collaborative gallery show, HumanEssence, at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery in Fremont.
HumanEssence presents photographic pairings of Suszi’s portraits and Brandon’s abstracts to tell a story that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Brandon Stauffer and Suszi McFadden: Music in Motion
For those of you who attended the HumanEssence show at Wheelhouse of Willow Glen last year, note that new pairings have been added to the collection this year.
The online exhibition opened on March 28 andallows visitors to walk through virtual galleries at their own pace, zooming in and out to see the art from different angles. Try it, you’ll like it:

Virtual Exhibit No. 2 (black & white)
The in-person exhibition will take place April 4 through May 25. Suszi and Brandon note that the opening reception is on a Friday night – April 12 – in Fremont, so they will understand if folks don’t want to make the drive. However, they would love to see you! If you would like to avoid rush hour traffic, please consider joining them for their artists’ talk instead on Friday, April 19, at noon.
Founded in the 1960s, the Olive Hyde Art Gallery is located in the historic Mission San Jose area of Fremont, originally home of the Ohlone Indians. The Gallery was one of several buildings erected in the 1940s by Miss Olive Hyde, who strongly supported the arts and wanted to preserve the history and atmosphere of Mission San Jose. The Olive Hyde Art Guild sponsors art education programs in the schools and provides art scholarships and awards for local students. The Gallery’s charm and rustic simplicity make it a favorite showcase for Bay Area artists and traveling exhibits. Seven unique quality exhibits of both traditional and contemporary art are presented each year.
