Introduction
Among the club's most popular activities are the formal photography competitions. Members are encouraged to submit their best images to be critiqued by an invited professional judge. These competitions afford members an opportunity to create new work and to be inspired by the work of other club members.
Monthly competitions alternate between print and digital. Images are entered into one of four categories. The judge then selects a first, second and third place winner and may award additional honorable mentions in each category when appropriate. One image from all the entries is then selected as Image of the Month. Members of the public are welcome to attend but entries are limited to club members.
In addition, the club holds an annual competition at the end of the calendar year, allowing members to showcase their best images. Cash prizes are awarded for the winners of the annual competition.
Members of the public are welcome to join us on competition nights, but only club members are eligible to submit images.
