Series by Suz McFadden Selected by MOEVIR Magazine

A series of images by PACC member Suz McFadden has been selected for inclusion in the January 2022 issue of MOEVIR Magazine, a fashion and art photography magazine based in Paris.


Last November, Ars Minerva, a San Francisco performing arts organization, presented the North American premiere of Carlo Pallavicino’s opera, Messalina, composed in 1679.

Suz’s series of images presents the fabulous balloon dress worn by Messalina (soprano Aura Veruni) in the final scene of the opera.  Yes – balloons!!  This dress and others in the production were conceived by Céline Ricci and Marina Polakoff, and designed by Marina Polakoff.  Suz had the privilege of photographing the balloon dress in studio with model Olya La after the close of the opera’s run.


This was Suz’s first foray into publication, and she is thrilled to have had her work accepted.
