Image by Wright Schickli Selected by the Praxis Gallery

The Feast, an image by PACC member Wright Schickli, has been selected for inclusion in The Street Exhibition at the Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center in Minneapolis.

In this exhibition, Praxis Gallery presents photographic art that explores the genre of street photography from all angles, including people, urban structure, and documentary subject matter.  The juror was Sarah Weiss, a photographic artist living in St. Paul and Project Director for Praxis Gallery.

Wright says:  My wife was overjoyed when we visited Tucson recently and she was able to see her father for the first time in more than two years.  We had a feast at a local restaurant and, as we left, I trailed behind so I could capture the sign shining into the soon-to-be-empty place.  I was drawn by the angles, lines and shadows, their repeating shapes and the tonality.  Importantly, it conveyed the emptiness we have all felt, and I wondered about what happened at this particular corner table.
