Images by Nadine Levin and Barbara Davidson Selected by the Praxis Gallery

Images by PACC members Nadine Levin and Barbara Davidson have been selected for inclusion in the Transience Exhibition at the Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center in Minneapolis.

In this exhibition, Praxis Gallery presents photographic art that speaks to the transitory nature of life –from flora and fauna, from objects left behind after a loved one’s passing, to memories and loss.  The juror was Aline Smithson.
Nadine’s moving image, Mother Is Gone and Her Prized Fur Remains, is a self-portrait that is part of a series-in-progress generated by the photos, memorabilia and objects that her mother left in her care when she passed 4 years ago at the age of 103.

Barbara’s image is the serendipitous result of some Photoshop experiments that she carried out to learn how to use layers.  A Glimpse of the Past prompts Barbara to think that she is seeing through the seed to the old forest from where it came.
