Abundance of Bubbles, an image by PACC member Nadine Levin, has been awarded First Place (overall) in the City of South San Francisco Cultural Arts Commission’s first art gallery show of 2023, Abundance: A Two-Dimensional Art Show.

The Cultural Arts Commission asked:  What is the meaning of abundance in life?  What does abundance mean to you?  Health, knowledge, energy, sorrow, imagination, career, family, quiet, wealth, colors, understanding. resources, friends, ambition, food, peace, experiences, happiness, creativity, patience, nature, opportunity, success, achievements…  This juried exhibition features two-dimensional works that include painting, photography, drawing, collage, and digital art.

The exhibition took place January 27-28.  Winning images will be shown at the SSF Municipal Services Building and online February 6-28.  The URL of the virtual exhibition is not yet available.

About this charming image, Nadine says:  This image was made at the Burlingame Farmers Market during the summer.  I was caught by the abundance of bubbles and how the bubbles were interacting with people around them.

Nadine recommends that club members consider local calls for entries.
